Kia has recently been awarded for a commitment to excellence in the J.D. Power 2016 Initial Quality Study. This report recognizes Kia as the lead brand of vehicle in the 2016 Nameplate IQS Ranking, with the lowest score of problems per 100 vehicles tested in the study. Having the lowest number equates to being of a higher quality, and this year is the first time in 27 years that a non-luxury brand has topped this list, according to the report.
But this is far from the only accolades Kia garnered in this study. Both the Kia Soul and Kia Sportage were recognized at the top of the leaderboards in their respective categories. The Kia Soul takes home the award for having the least problems in the 2016 Compact MVP IQS category, with the Kia Sportage leading the way in the 2016 Small SUV IQS category. Both vehicles were found to have the least amount of issues in the tested categories per 100 vehicles out of their respective groups, a true testament to the hard work put into designing these vehicles.
