As Kia begins to become a larger player in the auto industry, Kia is becoming known for their excellent auto designs combined with an easy to swallow price tag. Now the South Korean automaker is stepping up their game with a new landmark showroom in London. What makes this showroom special is it that it is made from a renovated parking garage. With a one million pound investment to restore the building the new showroom will be located in Collindale, near north London and will be dubbed Humming Bird Kia. The showroom is set to open in early July 2012
This impressive showroom will be able to house 15 cars, feature a dedicated MOT facility, a 7 bay work shop with customer service area and a large parts operation. The multi story parking garage was formerly used for motor retailing but with the influence of Kia, the space will be greatly improved. Humming Bird Kia will be slightly different from the traditional "Red Cube" design because of previous construction, but will resemble that of Kia through red cladding on its exterior, as well as an interior fit with the latest brand standards. "This remarkable new dealership will reflect our strategy of expanding and improving our dealer network in the same way as Kia has built its brand and its product range in recent years."1 says Simon Hetherington, Dealer Development Director at Kia Motors UK.
