When the staff at Bald Hill Kia heard about the potential come back of Rondo many people said, I didn't know he left. We just want to make sure that everyone knows that we were not talking about the Celtics basketball player but the Kia Rondo. The Rondo was cut off the lineup back in 2010 and all signs point to its comeback in 2013.
Similarly to many new Kia models, the Rondo will be designed the wing of Peter Shreyer, who is the man that has helped Kia reshape its image over the last 2 years. Rumors have it that the redesigned Rondo will sport a lower roofline, sporty wheels and cab-forward design.
Spy shots that were taken a little bit ago suggest that the new Rondo shows similar updates. But it was very hard to see exactly what was going on with the new Rondo will all the camo hiding the exterior features for the car.
Beyond just the looks, Kia will surely improve fuel economy, performance and technology. The 2009 Kia Rondo did receive a 9.1 out of 10 user rating on MSN Autos, showing that it will have a lot to live up too. But, a lot has changed since it left the industry in 2010. And, as we can see by model's such as the forthcoming Quoris, Kia is not just about keeping up with the trends, it's about redefining them.
