If you are an avid reader of the Bald Hill Kia blog then you most likely have heard about the new luxury model that plans to launch sometime in the future. A luxury car from Kia? you might be thinking, but we would like to have you know that judging by the car's design, it is sure to have the BMW and Mercedes crowd turning their heads.
When we first started talking about the luxury Kia model it was referred to as the K9 overseas. At that time all signs were pointing to the same name for the U.S. model but after a recent announcement they has determined that the name of the vehicle will be the Quoris. This name will be the same across the world expect for Korea.
What prompted the change?
The long and short of it, Kia wanted something that represented the vehicle better in reference to the luxury sedan's opulent "core" and inherent "quality".
The 333-hp and range-topping 429-hp Kia Quoris, formerly known as the Kia K9, is slated to officially debut later in 2012. Watch for additional details surrounding price and features, coming soon.
