Kia Motors America (KMA) recently announced that September marked the 13th consecutive month they have broken a sales record. The 18.4-percent (35,609 units) increase over this time last year is largely due to sales of the American-built Kia Sorento, and the popular Kia Optima.
Sales have increased by a whopping 16.3 percent outside of the U.S., with 217,736 Kia units sold across the globe in September alone. The other areas making up total sales include China at 45.9 % increase, Europe at 20.6 % increase and even Kia's home country of Korea at a 4.4 % increase.
Byung Mo Ahn, Group President, KMA, said in a statement, "Kia has become one of the fastest growing car companies in the U.S., and breaking our sales record in less than nine months is the result of our dramatic brand transformation and our diverse lineup."1.
