Kia Optima Named "Most Gorgeous Car Under $20K" by Esquire

Earlier in September, the very first Kia Optima rolled off the production line. It was a proud time for the employees at the Kia Motors manufacturing facility in Georgia. Earlier this year, the 2011 Kia Optima had been widely recognized for its design by many organizations, particularly by the men's lifestyle magazine Esquire.

Esquire's "2011 Design and Technology Awards" applauded the stylish, yet elegant look, of the 2011 Kia Optima. They also like that it remains one of the most affordable cars on the market. The magazine made a point to say, "A decade ago, a shape this clean and inspiring would've cost real money." Kia Motors designed the Optima with heir consumers in mind, with the price point rolling in at under $20k.

The 2011 Kia Optima has also been recognized at the 2011 "Editors' Most Wanted" vehicle by Edmunds' Inside Line, and the 2011 "Best New Model" by Kiplinger's Personal Finance. It was even placed on "Ward's 10 Best Interiors" List.

Kia has been pulling in awards across the board for the Optima, as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named it a 2011 "Top Safety Pick".
